Who we are
Bonyeza is a platform that lets Tanzanian businesses share a digital storefront their customers reach by scanning a QR code. Orders are sent to the business over WhatsApp. This notice explains what personal data we process when you order through a Bonyeza storefront.
Data we process
When you place an order or leave a review, the business you are ordering from collects:
- Your name (if you provide it)
- Your phone number
- Your delivery address (only for delivery orders that include one)
- The items you order and any notes you add
- Your review rating and comment (if you leave one)
How it is used
The business uses this data solely to fulfil your order, reply to you on WhatsApp, and (for reviews) display feedback on their page. Bonyeza stores the data on behalf of the business in a standard database; it is not sold or used for advertising.
Your rights
Under the Tanzania Data Protection Act, 2022, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Contact the business directly, or reach Bonyeza at privacy@bonyeza.app.
